Naka Hawaki: Over 80% Down Is Not A Feather Down.

A press conference was held to announce the quality inspection of feather and down products during the "double 11" and "double 12" 2015.

According to Yao Xiaoman, director general of China Badminton Association, last year, during the "double 11" and "double 12" period, the China Badminton Association sampled two batches of 120 down products online.

The two sampling inspection mainly targeted at 3 main domestic trends of Tmall, Taobao and Jingdong.

The platform is based on the sampling principle of the most easily purchased products on the platform by consumers, sampling the down products that are mainly pushed, hot searched and recommended by the platform.

The two time was 40 down garments and 20 down quilts.

All products were purchased anonymously by the association during the "double 11" and "double 12" periods. The products were tested by the inspection and Quarantine Laboratory of Zhejiang entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau. The sampling items included composition analysis, fluffiness, cleanliness, oxygen consumption, filling amount and type identification (product marked goose down).

According to the results of the sampling survey, there are 18 samples of down garments filled with flying silk, feather silk and Lu Mao (chicken feather) in the two sampling inspection of "double 11" and "double 12". According to the current national standard, they are not down coats, accounting for 22.5% of the two samples. 34 of the unqualified down quilts are mainly filled with flying silk, feather silk, Lu Qinmao, wool and chemical fiber cotton. According to the current national standard, they are not of feather down, accounting for 85% of the total sample.

These counterfeit products are not only non thermal, easy to drill, but also susceptible to allergies and respiratory diseases.

Yao Xiaoman said that because some consumers or even e-commerce platforms do not know much about the standard of down clothing, many counterfeit and shoddy feathers sold in the e-commerce platform are blatantly in the composition logo, "not right," or even make up some costume language to confuse consumers' audio-visual.

China Badminton Association recommends that the electronic business platform standardize the quality management of the down products online market, conduct compulsory disposal of all substandard products, and make rectification for some unqualified products. After qualification, the products can be resold. It is recommended that the products of the substandard products should be listed as the key supervision objects, and regular multi variety sampling inspection should be carried out compulsively and the corresponding punishment should be imposed on the repeated offenders.
