MITSUBISHI Chemical And Borealis Jointly Strengthen Production Of Polypropylene Composites

Japan's MITSUBISHI chemical company (MCC) has established a business alliance agreement with its Borealis AG ("Borealis") headquarters in Austria, Weiner, CEO: Mark Garrett. Its Borealis AG is an advanced supplier of innovative value solutions for plastics. The aim of the two sides is to enhance production of polypropylene (PP) complex and supply it to the automotive industry in the United States and Europe.

This agreement will enable the two companies to join together to meet global demand and enhance the attractiveness of consumers through regional production and the provision of high quality and high performance PP composites.

High performance PP composites are widely used in automotive components, including buffer strips, dashboards, door trim panels, and other vehicle accessories, to meet the manufacturing performance, reduce weight and save fuel. Currently, global automotive manufacturers need these manufacturability.

In Europe, Borealis will use the company's patented technology BorstarR technology to produce high performance professional PP attachments, consistent with MITSUBISHI chemical Europe Germany formula, European German company is MCC's overseas company, obtained JPP authorization.

Therefore, the agreement on the production and provision of PP composite products in Europe is signed by MCE and Borealis.

On the contrary, in the United States, the Mytex polymer company (MPUS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of MCC, which produces PP compounds through the Japanese polymer company. Their prescriptions are consistent with the Borealis complex (BUS). Borealis composite (BUS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Borealis.

Therefore, the US PP complex production and supply agreement was signed by MPUS and BUS.

The MCC group and Borealis group enjoy a high reputation in the automotive industry in several major parts of the world.

MCC group has PP complex production plant in Japan, the United States, China, Thailand (in construction) and India (in construction), and Borealis group has PP complex production plant in EU countries and Brazil (Borealis and Braskem S.A joint ventures).
