Yan Yan, a senior engineer of the Textile Product Inspection Department of Nanjing Quality Inspection Institute, said that the new standard has more stringent requirements on relevant performance indicators of the jacket. For example, the moisture permeability index of the old standard is divided into pre washing and post washing, and the requirements for post washing are relatively low, while the requirements for pre washing and post washing of the new standard are consistent, and the index requirements have been greatly improved, in which the level I products must be ≥ 6000g/(m2 · 24h) before and after washing, and the level II products must be ≥ 4000g/(m2 · 24h) before and after washing.

Moisture permeability refers to the ability of water vapor to penetrate clothing, which is one of the important performance indicators of assault suit. Yan Yan said that the submachine suit with poor moisture permeability will not only cause discomfort such as stuffiness and wetness, but also will be hot before cold if you continue to wear it after sweating, reducing the warmth retention effect.
