According to the information released by Vietnam's Ministry of health on April 4, 7623 new confirmed cases of pneumonia were reported in Vietnam, including 7618 cases of local cases and 5 cases of imported cases from abroad. According to the Vietnam Youth Daily, 177813 new crown pneumonia cases have been confirmed in Vietnam, with 2327 deaths. There were 3300 new confirmed cases in Ho Chi Minh City, the epicenter of the southern epidemic, and the total number of confirmed cases was 106030. In addition, 2143 cases were reported in Pingyang Province, 427 cases in Long'an Province, 389 cases in tongnai Province, 194 cases in Xining Province, 161 cases in Pingshun Province, 156 cases in tongta Province, 150 cases in can Ju City, 150 cases in Qinghe province and 93 cases in Danang province.
Production difficulties of Vietnamese enterprises
Last year, Vietnam became one of the few countries in the world with an adverse economic growth due to its excellent epidemic prevention and control. At present, Vietnam has replaced Bangladesh as the world's second largest textile and clothing exporter (after China). Many Vietnamese export enterprises have received orders up to the third quarter of 2021 or the whole year of 2021. However, many enterprises have to stop running due to the failure of epidemic prevention.
In order to maintain the manufacturing industry, Vietnam does not want enterprises to stop production, so the solutions given by relevant departments are "three local" and "two points, one line". The so-called "three local" refers to "production on the spot, eating on the spot and rest on the spot". To put it simply, the workers should not leave when they enter the factory, and all the food and accommodation are in the factory. The so-called "two points and one line" refers to the enterprise's transportation of workers between the factory and dormitory to avoid external contact and ensure production.
However, there are many unexpected situations in the implementation of this policy. For example, in some factories, workers staged a collective "prison break", and some workers rushed to the door to pray for release because they found out the infected people in their factories.
After an employee of Anpu new company, a Chinese Taiwan enterprise located in Pingyang province of Vietnam, diagnosed Xinguan, the company ordered the factory to be closed in order to carry out nucleic acid testing for all employees, causing panic among workers. Hundreds of employees shook the iron gate of the factory and fled. The Vietnamese government requires some large factories to set up dormitory and isolation plan for their employees, so some factory managers have to force workers not to leave; Some factories simply shut down because they can't meet the "three local" requirements
For example, Nike's OEM plant in Vietnam may face a "zero output" crisis. Baocheng group and Chang shin, the two largest contract OEM companies of Nike in Vietnam, have completely shut down.
Port backlog in Ho Chi Minh City
Saigon new port, which manages the city river terminal in Ho Chi Minh City, informed customers that the port operation was seriously affected by the epidemic situation, the congestion worsened, the pick-up or release of imported containers was slow, and the possibility of overstocking was increased. The liquidity and transit capacity of gilai and its adjacent deep-sea ports will also be weakened due to congestion at major ports. The port yard also faces the pressure of transshipment containers. Drivers crossing Vietnam's provinces must have 3-7 days' nucleic acid test results, otherwise they can't work.
At present, the production capacity of many factories in Vietnam has been affected, and more and more small enterprises have closed down. According to the Ministry of investment and planning of Vietnam, in the first half of this year, 70209 enterprises closed down in Vietnam, an increase of 24.9% over last year. That's equivalent to closing 400 businesses a day.
Please pay attention to the current shipping risk of foreign traders with Vietnamese customers!
