The Seventh International Forum On The Development Of Comprehensive Utilization Of Waste Textiles Is Held In Nanjing.

In October 21st, the Seventh International Forum on the development of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles was held successfully in Nanjing. The forum was co sponsored by the China Circular Economy Association and the Swedish Embassy in China. The Specialized Committee of the circular economy Association of China used the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles, supported by the Alan Macarthur foundation and happy home textile Co., Ltd. The theme of this forum is "upgrading the development level of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles and helping the construction of cities without waste", focusing on discussing and communicating the policy mechanism, technological progress, standard construction and business mode of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles at home and abroad. This forum is chaired by Du Huanzheng, director of the Circular Economy Research Institute of Tongji University.

Guan Shixuan, Deputy Secretary General of the circular economy Association of China, delivered a speech, pointing out that no waste cities have been the development targets of more and more countries and cities. The comprehensive utilization of waste textiles will play a great role in the process of reduction and reuse of the cities without waste, and is the only way to ensure the sustainable development of China's industry. The Special Committee on waste spinning will continue to promote the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles: actively cooperate with scientific research institutes to organize scientific research public relations and technological research and development, and cultivate enterprises with complete sets of equipment and industrial production capacity, strengthen standardization system construction, cultivate pilot parks and demonstration projects, and continue to carry out publicity and education.

Wu Si, the Minister of the Swedish Embassy in China and the director of corporate social responsibility center, delivered a speech. He pointed out that the textile industry is one of the most resource consuming industries in the world, and the textile industry is undergoing the most fundamental transformation. The Swedish government placed sustainable development on the top of the political agenda and created the circular economy committee, aiming at strengthening the transformation of Sweden's efficient utilization of resources, recycling economy and sustainable development. He pointed out that sustainable production alone is not enough. It also needs to change the way of consumption and encourage more sustainable consumption.

Yuan Qingdan, vice president of the circular economy Association of China, delivered a speech entitled "no waste city and circular economy", focusing on the work done in Weihai to carry out the construction of non waste cities, and put forward the idea that no waste city is a concept. The key to building a city without waste is to establish a sustainable business model, as well as the management level of the government and the level of public participation.

Tang Shijun, director of the Quartermaster engineering and Technology Research Institute of the Academy of military science, delivered a speech entitled "high value utilization scheme of hybrid waste textiles in the building materials field". The production principle, technological process, product characteristics and application scope of the fiber based environmental protection composite plate were introduced. He pointed out that the fiber based environmentally-friendly composite board is made of mixed waste textiles, which is produced by using special physical methods without adding any chemical resin adhesives. It is suitable for the field of lightweight high strength thermal insulation wallboard and indoor furniture and building materials. It has expanded the way of comprehensive utilization of waste textiles, and has promoted the economic and social benefits of recycled materials.

He pointed out that the denim garment production process had some impact on the environment. It introduced the related technology of making the waste cowboy into powder and how to recover the color of the waste fiber material, and pointed out that the next step is to reduce the production cost, recycle the solvent and commercialize the existing research results.

Fan Huaxing, head of the Alan Macarthur Foundation's recycling fashion project in China, delivered a speech entitled "recycling fashion - New Textile Economic Outlook", pointing out that circular economy needs to be built on three principles: first, to remove pollution and waste at the beginning of the design; two, to extend the use time of products and materials, and three to make the natural system renewable. Circular economy has provided great opportunities for the fashion industry, and the fashion industry will transform into a circular economy.

The development direction of China's waste textiles comprehensive utilization industry was pointed out, and the comprehensive utilization system of waste textiles was proposed. The policy system, standard system, Gou Jianduo channel recycling system and grading utilization mechanism were improved.

Zhao Guoliang, Professor of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, delivered a speech entitled "summary of the comprehensive utilization technology of waste textiles in China", introduced the sorting technology of waste textiles, second-hand clothing disinfection technology, waste textile physical regeneration technology, chemical regeneration technology, and put forward the development trend of comprehensive utilization technology of waste textiles. First, sorting technology will continue to upgrade; two, the second-hand clothing market will be opened in the future; three, the reuse of physical products will be diversified; four, chemical reuse will need to reduce costs and improve quality; five, the regeneration process and product quality testing and evaluation methods will continue to improve.

The background, mission and business mode of Hongkong textile and garment research and development center were introduced. The related technologies of separation and recovery of polyester cotton blended fabric were displayed. The new clothing items of G2G old clothes were introduced, and the innovative mode of comprehensive utilization of waste textiles was shared.

Gao Hongguo, project manager of the recycling materials business department of happy home textile Co., Ltd. delivered a speech entitled "recycling of waste textile resources, turning waste into treasure, green development - the practice of comprehensive utilization of home textiles and waste textiles". The pleasure home textiles introduced the practice of using waste textiles to produce textile products and industrial products, as well as the construction of the standard system for the recycling of waste textiles.

It introduces three major development pillars of H&M: 100% guiding change, 100% cycle and renewable, 100% impartial and fair, and demonstrating 100% of the application of circular economy.

He pointed out that Ding Yuan has been committed to the field of eco friendly and focused on textile recycling. The work focused on the comprehensive utilization of leftover materials, defective products and inventory, providing one-stop service system, and proposed that in order to achieve efficient utilization of waste textiles, we must establish a business model and service mode of leading technology and innovative ideas.

There are still some difficulties and pain points in the industry. We need to remember our minds and uphold our belief. We should strengthen policy research, standard research, mode research and international research in the process of pushing waste textiles.
