The Southern Common Market Revised The Labeling Requirements For Textiles And Clothing.

The southern common market recently issued a regulation to revise the regional labeling requirements for textiles and clothing.

Member states are required to incorporate these new requirements into their respective national legislation by June 15th.

The new legislation has not changed much compared with previous resolution 33/07.

1. When a percentage of weight of a fiber is less than 5% or two and the weight percentage of more than two fibers is less than 15%, the label can be disclosed as "other fibers" or "other kinds of fibers" (the threshold is currently 10%).

2. When textile yarns are added to the fabric made of different yarns and become part of the fabric, the fiber content in the label must reflect the combination of the yarn.

3, compared with the current ISO 3758:2005 standard, the nursing label must refer to the ISO 3758:2013 standard.

4, we need to use the nursing symbols in the ISO 3758:2013 standard in accordance with the correct order and comply with the relevant conditions.

5. Elastic polyesters and melamine were added as labels for general fibers.
