According to the characteristics of textile industry pformation and upgrading to talent demand under the new normal situation of textile economy, according to the training objectives of outstanding engineers, and focusing on enhancing students' engineering practice ability and innovation ability, Zhongyuan University of Technology has carried out a series of reform exploration and Practice on the new spinning technology course orientation, curriculum system, teaching team, teaching content, teaching mode, teaching means and assessment methods, and achieved remarkable results.
"The project has resolved the orientation of the new spinning technology under the training target of textile excellent engineers, and guided by the technology and product development. It has established a new teaching system of spinning technology with the characteristics of local colleges and universities.
At the same time, the construction of a "double quality" teaching staff has been established, which is jointly coached by university teachers and enterprise engineers. The contents and objectives of training are jointly formulated with enterprises, and schools and enterprises jointly develop and construct curriculum resources. With the emphasis on technological capability and innovation practice, a progressive teaching practice system based on basic experiment, comprehensive experiment and innovative experiment is established.

It has increased the content of non cotton fiber rotor yarn, composite spinning, fancy spinning and so on. With the continuous use of intelligence and information in spinning machinery, spinning machinery integrates machinery, electronics, pneumatics and computers in a highly integrated way. The curriculum content should also focus on the intersection of automation technology and intelligent control technology, striving for the advanced nature and cutting-edge of teaching content, reflecting the latest scientific and technological achievements in this discipline and field, and having the characteristics of large amount of technical information and new knowledge points.
The project builds a progressive teaching system from basic experiments to innovative experiments, highlighting basic practice, comprehensive practice and innovative practice.
In this paper, the practice teaching content is carried out step by step in the multi stage teaching mode, including on-the-spot teaching, experimental teaching, yarn design and testing, practice base training and graduation design.

The project also introduced the virtual environment technology into classroom teaching, and constructed the experimental teaching platform based on SolidWorks, 3D simulation software, and displayed the teaching platform based on the reality of video technology to help students directly and deeply understand the new spinning process, equipment operation and enterprise production equipment.
Virtual reality technology is used to simulate the working principle of the new spinning equipment by using SolidWorks 3D simulation software, and simulate its motion state. It can intuitively see the movement state of the fiber bar in the rotor spinning machine.
The practical application proves that the platform plays a good role in stimulating students' interest and improving the quality of experimental teaching.

In order to promote the further implementation of the project, the project team used the discipline and professional construction to invest in the purchase of spinning equipment, combined with the original equipment to form a new training platform for spinning, strengthen the experimental and practical teaching links in the course, increase extracurricular practice links, and initiate extracurricular practice projects such as "College Students' innovative experiment plan", so as to guide students to take part in textile discipline competition and cultivate students' innovative and practical ability.
In 2017, it added 1 sets of AFIS PRO2 single fiber tester, valued at 1 million 890 thousand yuan, and used for the testing of various quality indexes of fiber semi-finished products. In 2017, a new type XCF-1A friction coefficient tester was added, which was worth 40 thousand yuan, which was used for testing the friction properties of fibers.
During the implementation of the project, the project team members pay attention to the evaluation of students in the learning process, including assignments, experiments, discussions, new yarn design and operation, and writing small papers on yarn quality analysis, etc., and purchase new textile materials, allow students to design and spin new yarns themselves, increase the proportion of practice assessment, pay attention to training students' ability to analyze and solve practical problems, and cultivate innovative spirit and engineering practice ability.
The content of the course examination covers the index points of graduation requirements.
Since the implementation of the project, Zhongyuan University of Technology has set up an industry demand oriented curriculum system; school enterprise teachers have coached and jointly built curriculum resources; integration of progressive and project type; integration of subject competition and graduation design; strengthening process management and implementing diversified examination methods.
At present, the results of the project have been extensively exchanged through papers, conferences and other forms, and published 8 teaching and research papers, 1 monographs, edited and compiled 8 national or ministerial level planning textbooks, and won the 2015 year Henan provincial quality resource sharing course.
