/Topman will be laid off, after two of the comprehensive stores.

brand

A separate manager is responsible, and along with layoffs, a brand manager will control two brands of men's and women's wear.

In addition to comprehensive stores, if a separate Topshop store and Topman store are closer together, they will also be managed by a brand manager.

Currently, Topshop and Topman operate 300 and 250 stores in the UK respectively.

The Arcadia Group Ltd. Ltd., the parent company of Topshop/Topman, responds to the website that first reported the matter. As a part of the business evaluation and coping with the changing retail environment, the management structure of the store needs the most effective customer service. Therefore, the company is restructuring the retail management structure of Topshop and Topman.

The spokesman for Arcadia Group Ltd. said indirectly that the fact of layoffs was acknowledged. The spokesman also said that understanding the move was a difficult time for those affected by the restructuring, and that the company would ensure continued support for the team in the process of change.

However, Arcadia Group Ltd. did not disclose the number of layoffs. The company has not released its earnings for second years in a row. Before the 2015 fiscal year, the company released its annual report in November.

The market's two major benchmark brands have been devastated in the past two years. On the one hand, the price of the two brands is higher than that of the fast fashion brand. On the other hand, the style of most fast fashion brands is still biased, which is contrary to the current sports and leisure style.

Outside, Topshop/Topman is also being squeezed by the ASOS PLC (ASC.L) and Boohoo.com PLC (BOO.L).

In addition, Arcadia Group Ltd. and its boss, Philip Green Philip Green, were also due to the bankruptcy of BHS and the huge pension shortfall, and the market even speculated that the Philip Green, known as the "retail tyrant" in the UK, would eventually sell the group.

According to the world clothing and shoe net, in 2017, Topshop/Topman not only suffered a decline in sales and profits, but also went bankrupt and sold many regional market agents. The core management of the company also ran away.

Prior to this, Arcadia Group Ltd. and New Look Retail Group Ltd., also in trouble, came out of the unfavorable news of reducing the scale of stores and requiring suppliers to reduce prices.

The two groups are in a very similar position. New Look's South African boss, Christo Wiese, is caught up in a financial fraud scandal. Wealth has shrunk sharply and is being sold through cheap assets.

In the fiscal year ending August 27, 2016, sales of Arcadia Group Ltd. and UK decreased by 1.3% to 896 million compared to the same period last year, and international revenue declined by 6% year-on-year.

Group Holding Companies's Taveta Investments Ltd. Ltd. declined 17% to 2 billion 20 million pounds compared with last year, and its pre tax profit dropped by 78.6%, from 172 million 200 thousand to 36 million 800 thousand pounds. The profit margin included 81 million pounds of retail store write downs and 129 million pounds of one-time expenditure, of which 26 million pounds were related to bankruptcy.
