The establishment of a new joint venture company to expand the existing cooperation with Katy Perry in shoe series.
The new joint venture will focus on developing Katy Perry brand and add new products. The latest shoe series will be launched in the US and worldwide in spring 2017.
Despite the challenges of the fashion retail environment, the brand turnover increased by $704 million in the three months ended June, representing an increase of 8.4% over the same period last year.
Since April this year, the group has also signed a number of new licensing agreements and partnership agreements. In addition to the agreement with Katy Perry to launch the shoe series, the group also entered into an authorization agreement with the American designer Kenneth Cole in June to develop its brand of men's wear, women's wear, children's wear and handbag products.
In June this year, Li and CAA collaborated and injected brands into each other.
GBG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the CAA, has agreed to inject the brand management business into CAA-GBG in exchange for the interests of the 72.7% shareholders of CAA-GBG, and CAA agrees to inject CAA's authorized brand business in exchange for CAA-GBG's shareholders' interests.
CAA is a leading entertainment and sports talent agency, representing many famous film, TV, music and sports celebrities, brands and companies.
The company expects that this cooperation can create one of the largest global brand management companies in the world and merge two geographically complementary businesses. CAA-GBG will benefit from the group's global operation and procurement network and generate indirect cost benefits through its combined business.
CAA-GBG customers will cover the world's leading corporate brands such as Coca Cola, Jeep and Hershey 's; famous entertainment stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Bob Eva, and other outstanding fashion brands and entertainment companies.
Since its separate listing, Li Feng has launched its fashion brand into a profit label.
At present, the growth of Liyuan mainly focuses on the four core business categories of children's clothing, men's and women's fashion, footwear accessories and brand management. The Greater China region and the United States are their two largest markets.
The brand is selectively introduced into the new franchise and extension platform to enhance the core strengths of the group.
In licensing the brand business, the Group signed the global licensing agreement with the Kate Spade New York on the winter accessories.
