According to the analysis, the successive protectionist measures and restrictions on import trade seriously hamper and affect the normal export of footwear in China. The export situation of footwear is becoming more and more serious.

Informed by the latest information provided by the Nantong State Administration of inspection, the European Union voted in January 29th this year to approve a draft resolution to ensure that consumer products containing two methyl fumarate will not be put into the European market. It is expected that the draft will take effect in May 1st.

In addition, the AQSIQ has stipulated that two methyl fumarate content of more than 0.1 mg / kg of footwear products, are not allowed to export to the European Union.

This is another strict technical restriction imposed after the European Union promulgated the banned azo dye act, the four indicators detected by Italy's "poison shoes" incident and the United States Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act.

For this reason, the experts of the Bureau suggest that Nantong export footwear enterprises need to strengthen laws and regulations research, actively adjust and do well in coping with them. At the same time, they should also pay attention to product development, strive to create their own brands and enhance the added value of products.
