Puma Shoes Invest In Lanshan, Hunan

At the beginning of next year, PUMA (Puma), one of the world's top three sports shoes brands, will be truly produced in Hunan.

Taiwan diamond group, the 500 largest footwear industry in the world, has chosen the production base of Lanshan, Yongzhou.

What made a poor county in Hunan become an investment oasis? In September 24th, Xu Yang, Secretary of the Lanshan county Party committee, told the group of "the liberation of thought in Hunan" that the small county of the southern border region of Hunan Province was "red in the red" with only 360 thousand population.

The three anomalous "Lanshan phenomenon", Lanshan County, adjacent to Guangdong Lianzhou City, near Hong Kong and Macao, is the southern gate of Hunan. It is known as "Chu taw Guangdong head".

This unique location advantage has led to three abnormal phenomena in the process of undertaking industrial pfer in Lanshan: "Small Hydropower", strong counties without electricity, people who built houses to rent houses, and enterprises can not find "wage earners".

The root cause of these three abnormal phenomena is attributed to "Lanshan firmly grasped the main line of docking coastal industrial pfer and developing processing trade, and made export-oriented processing trade develop rapidly."

Unswervingly moving along the road of Dongguan's development, Lanshan is thriving because of the rapid rise of export-oriented processing trade, which makes it easy to think of Hongkong in the 60s and 70s of last century and Dongguan in the 80s and 90s of last century.

"Since Lanshan's condition is far less than that of Shenzhen in the 80s of last century, it is impossible to introduce high-tech projects on a large scale, so it is better to learn from Dongguan, and vigorously introduce the labor intensive industries such as wool, electrical appliances, clothing, footwear and other industries, and unswervingly take the road of Dongguan's development."

Lanshan County decision makers decided to take the development of woollen processing enterprises as a breakthrough, and vigorously introduce "three to one complement" enterprises, and build Lanshan into an export-oriented processing trade zone undertaking Guangdong's coastal industrial pfer.

"We must focus on the Pearl River Delta and focus on the Yangtze River Delta.

In addition to the docking of ideas, Xu Yang also pointed out that Lanshan has created conditions for docking in terms of pportation, parks, preferential policies and entrepreneurial environment.

Now, Lanshan County export-oriented processing trade enterprise develops from scratch to more than 600, of which more than 480 wool knitting processing enterprises, has become the largest export oriented wool knitting base in Guangdong after Dongguan and Zhejiang Tongxiang, Hunan third.

In the new planning, Lanshan will strive to build three major industrial clusters: woolen knitwear, shoemaking and mechanical electronics.
