Recently, the GB/T 28490-2012 "buttons classification and terminology", GB/T 28491-2012 "general technical requirements and testing methods for buttons, natural shells" and "GB/T 28492-2012" General requirements and testing methods for buttons are issued by the National Standardization Technical Committee of China (hereinafter referred to as "NB") and will be implemented in November 1st.

It is understood that Jiashan, Zhejiang, known as the "hometown of buttons in China", has 780 manufacturers of button manufacturers, with a total output value of 6 billion 500 million yuan, with an annual output accounting for 50% of the country's total.

In recent years, the industry has been plagued by the lack of relevant standards, which not only caused the export of products blocked, but also brought a heavy blow to the button industry, and made the button industry unable to be bigger and stronger.

Since the NBI has settled in Zhejiang Jiashan County, the Jiashan Quality Supervision Bureau has worked out 9 buttons standards in conjunction with the NBI and related enterprises.

NB Commission official said that the promulgation and implementation of the three button standards not only standardized the market environment, but also accelerated the pformation and upgrading of the button industry.

In order to ensure that the button products will increase in domestic quota in the coming year, the export of products will increase by more than 80%.

Although the implementation of standards will cause some products to be shut down, or even cause some enterprises to be eliminated, it is also a booster for the button industry to break away from disorderly competition and achieve steady development of the industry.

It is reported that "button general technical requirements and testing methods unsaturated polyester resin", "button general technical requirements and testing methods zinc alloy class" and other 6 new standards are being submitted for approval.
