In 2007, Vietnam became Chile's third largest supplier of shoes, after China and Brazil, according to the statistics of the Chilean shoe and leather products association. In 2007, Chile imported 64 million pairs of shoes, including 55.2 million pairs from China, 2.1 million pairs from Brazil, and 1.9 million pairs from Vietnam. The average prices of shoes imported from these three countries were US $5.54/pair, US $15.4/pair and US $13.7/pair.
