At the end of 12th Five-Year, chemical fiber accounted for 76% of total fiber processing, and chemical fiber differential rate increased from 46% in 2010 to more than 60%.

We should increase the professional guidance for the application of industrial textiles in the engineering field, and expand the popularization and application of high-end products in key areas.

By the end of 12th Five-Year, the proportion of fiber consumption of the three main categories of clothing, home textiles and industrial products will reach 51:29:20 from the end of 11th Five-Year to 48:27:25.


We should focus on promoting the brand building of clothing and home textile industry. The investment value of brand enterprises will highlight the "12th Five-Year" period, and accelerate the construction of China's clothing home textile brand. Among them, 5-10 famous brands with international influence will be formed.

The plan proposes to increase the utilization level of natural fiber resources of cotton, wool, linen and silk, strengthen the research and development and industrialization promotion of new spinning and weaving technologies with high efficiency and energy saving, realize the diversification and upgrading of textile products, and continuously improve the technical content of traditional textiles.

This will help upgrade the traditional textile industry and accelerate the survival of the fittest industry. The leading enterprises with technological superiority and strong financial strength will benefit.
