Before I made an interview with fashion photographer Zhou Guangmin, I was looking at the Spanish pictures taken by him in early 2011 for the famous men's clothing brand "Li Lang". This group of photos is the clothing of Li Lang in autumn and winter. It maintains the simplicity and fashion of Li Lang. At the same time, the filming technique is also the heavy tonal and modern feeling that the photographer has always come from. Q1: in the clothing brand packaging, after so many years of breakthroughs and successful cases, now you have accumulated a lot of experience, can you talk about the current situation of the domestic clothing brand in the image packaging?


A: the fashion brands in the past tend to lag behind the fashion trends in Europe and the United States for two or three years, let alone brand packaging. But with the rapid growth of people's consumption level and the improvement of taste, China's clothing brands have gradually become international synchronization. Compared with the current high-end clothing brands in China, they can release new products one year ahead of time, and carry out visual packaging, consciously leading the fashion trend in China and even in Asia. This is a good phenomenon.

Q2: so in the process, what other effective measures do you think can speed up development?


A: Yes, the most effective way in my area is to strive for synchronization in production and interoperability of international resources, so that brands can be very helpful at the same level with international famous brands.

For example, the concepts and forms of packaging and the refining methods of brand connotation are worth studying and rapidly absorbing by our domestic enterprises. Of course, drawing lessons from foreigners is not the same as drawing lessons from foreigners. Of course, many advanced domestic garment enterprises can not only absorb the advantages of foreign brands in product development and propaganda, but also create their own new images after the characteristics and culture of their own brands. They can not only lead the trend, but also bring Chinese characteristics to the international market. With these opportunities, we can exchange face-to-face with foreign artists and creatives, learn their technology and absorb their thinking concepts, which is very helpful to the development of the domestic garment industry.


Q3: do you have much cooperation with foreign fashion industry or media? What are some deep insights in this process?


A: the cooperation of foreign fashion circles has always existed, but the foreign media will have to look at the schedule. After all, we have to do business fashion photography and pay attention to the image packaging work of many domestic brands. Every day, they are full of services. Some of the media and business architecture services in Europe are now long, such as "graziauomo", the old Italy magazine "Grazia" and so on.

When working with foreign media, it is basically a common sense. There is nothing special about it. But there is still a huge gap between the fashion industry at home and abroad. When you work, you will pay attention to observation, learning and understanding. Thank you.

Q4: said that the gap between the fashion industry is a big area. Let's talk about the clothing brand packaging. In this field, how do you narrow the gap between the domestic and foreign clothing brand packaging?


A: I think a good model is the key to clothing image packaging.

Their expressive power, movement and facial expression are the soul of the whole work and brand image. Using the international famous model is the most effective link for the powerful brand with appeal.

Yes, it is very important and appropriate to choose a suitable and expressive model with brand positioning.


Q5: what makes you think a model is so important? Can you give an example?


A: this should be summed up after I collaborated with many famous models. For example, when we caught rain on the day of filming graziauomo fashion theme film, we had to hide in the roadside cafe, and the deadline was over. We felt a little anxious.

Q6: now that you have achieved good results in your industry, what are you going to accomplish further in the next work? How will it be achieved?


A: in fact, there is no specific goal, or step by step.

My idea now is to accumulate more experience in the process of working with outstanding foreign excellent production teams, and to bring more experience and successful cases from the foreign production teams to the experience and successful cases that they have learned, heard, and in the process of serving the domestic sophisticated brands.
