Taiwan Shoe Enterprises 1 Billion Invest In Nanning ASEAN Economic Development Zone

The upsurge of opening up and development of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone is attracting a large number of Taiwan capital's entry.

In the Nanning ASEAN Economic Development Zone, Taiwan (Nanning) Textile Industrial Park, apart from the mays footwear industry and the United Group, recently dozens of well-known Taiwan shoe making and supporting enterprises including Nanxi shoe industry, Guan Quan shoes industry, and flida shoes industry, and a number of garment processing enterprises have been gathered together, and the output value will reach 6 billion yuan in 3 years.

In addition to the Jackie Chan's national textile and clothing footwear base in Nanning, large electronic information enterprises in Taiwan are stepping up the industrial development base in the Beibu Gulf coastal area.

In January this year, LITE-ON photoelectric technology, the world's second largest optical drive factory in Taiwan, the world's largest optical drive manufacturer, officially launched the LITE-ON photoelectric drive and Green Science Park in Beihai. The project invested $96 million, and its output value is expected to reach US $450 million this year.

The vice chairman and chief executive of Lin Bao group, Lin Xing Xian, said that the establishment of LITE-ON Beihai plant in Beihai export processing zone is mainly an important strategic position in Southwest China, which is the only export processing zone closest to ASEAN.

The responsible person of the Commerce Department of the autonomous region said: "the economic and trade cooperation between Guangxi and Taiwan has been deepened, and the investment of Taiwanese businessmen in the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has increased year by year. A number of processing and trade type Taiwanese funded projects such as LITE-ON optoelectronics and Hui Ke electronics have been put into operation one after another. The mode of production with large scale, large output and fast forward production will surely lead to a sustained and sustained increase in trade between Guangxi and Taiwan."

With the agglomeration effect of petrochemical industry as the leading oil refinery in Qinzhou, tens of thousands of tons of oil refining projects have become increasingly prominent. A large number of Taiwanese businessmen have been interested in investing in Beibu Gulf petrochemical industry.

In July last year, the Federation of Taiwan industries and Guangxi signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement of Taiwan (Qinzhou) Petrochemical Industrial Park, and plans to build Taiwan (Qinzhou) Petrochemical Industrial Park in Qinzhou port to build a platform for Taiwan businessmen to enter the Beibu Gulf petrochemical industry.

Echoing Taiwanese businessmen's enthusiasm for investment in the Beibu Gulf, the regional government launched a preferential policy to support the development of Taiwan funded enterprises in August last year, which aims to make the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone the main stage of economic and trade cooperation between Guangxi and Taiwan.

In the next three years, the finance of the autonomous region will also arrange a special fund of about 1 billion yuan every year to support the construction of Taiwan Industrial Park infrastructure in Beibu Gulf Economic Zone.

In addition, the policy of Hui Tai also provides policy guarantee for Taiwan funded enterprises to participate in the development and construction of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone in terms of industrial access, finance and taxation, finance and land use.
