The arrival of 28 million 940 thousand bales of cotton increased by 2.2% over the same period last year.


The number of cotton arrived in India's domestic market increased 2.2% to 28 million 940 thousand bales from October 1st to June 12th, the state-run Cotton Corp of the India said on Tuesday.


According to Cotton Corp data, Gujarat in the west is the largest in India.

Cotton producing state

The number of goods delivered increased by 12.3% to 9 million 660 thousand packages, with a weight of 170 kg per pack.


The number of goods delivered to Maharashtra in the second cotton producing countries decreased by 1.6% to 6 million 100 thousand bales.


India is the second largest cotton in the world.

As a result of the end of the year, the number of arrivals is decreasing.


Starting next October 1st, new cotton will enter the market and the number of incoming goods will increase.


By the end of June 12th, the number of goods arrived in the country was about 15000 packs a day, about 200 thousand bags a day, compared with the peak season in January.
