According to Vietnam's Economic Times reported on October 10th, the European Union decided in October 2nd to carry out anti-dumping investigations on leather shoes in Vietnam.

According to convention, the time limit for investigation is 12-15 months. During this period, Vietnamese leather shoes will be subject to a 10% anti-dumping duty until the final conclusion is reached.

In addition, the European Union has removed Vietnam's footwear products from the list of tariffs and preferences system (GSP), that is, the export of Vietnamese footwear products to the European Union in 2009-2011 years will also need to levy a 5% tax.

Vietnam's footwear industry generally believes that Vietnam's footwear industry is on the rise.
