Lan Jing is increasing the capacity of the steel to respond to strong market demand and the position of the leader of the special fiber industry in the reinforcement group. Lan Jing plans to invest more than 1 billion euros in the next few years. As the first phase of the project, the newly built technology zone in Thailand has been approved. The factory has an annual output of 100 thousand tons, with a follow-up investment of about 400 million euros.

The factory will become the largest fiber factory in the world and set a new milestone in the history of the industry. The site is located in the 304 Industrial Park 150 kilometers away from Eastern Bangkok. The location rating has been successfully completed and the Thailand Investment Committee has fully supported it. Factory construction will begin in autumn this year and will be put into operation by the end of 2021.

"TENCELTM is a benchmark for eco-friendly fibers. The investment project is also the realization of the commitment of the group to improve the ecological footprint of the global textile industry, "said Stefan Doboczky, chief executive of the group. "Investment in Thailand is a firm step in implementing the group's sCore TEN strategy, helping to transform the group into a special fiber enterprise," Doboczky added.

Thailand has entered into a favorable trade agreement with the major Asian economies. Choosing the 304 Industrial Park of Ba Zhen Fu as the site is to value its excellent infrastructure and environmental energy supply, which will also reduce carbon dioxide emissions and protect the climate. In the next few years, Lan Jing will further develop in Thailand. The site has enough open space for several new factories. The first phase of the project investment has included infrastructure for subsequent expansion. At the same time, Lan Jing will also seek the possibility of expanding the project in other parts of the world.

"The project has also received positive attention in the engineering market. Lan Jing aims to reach a strategic cooperation with an international engineering company and jointly implement the project in Thailand. The reason for choosing the company is that it has the ability to support the organic growth of Lan Jing in the world. The international and highly professional team from Lan Jing will join hands with the project contractor to carry out the construction. It is expected that the plant will be trial run and formally put into operation in the second half of 2021, "said Heiko Arnold, chief technology officer of Lan Jing group.
