According to Italy's "24 hours Sun" reported on August 14th, the chairman of the European Textile Association and chairman of the Italy Textile Fashion Association, M. Kayla Trone, pointed out that the two-way monitoring mechanism of Chinese and European textiles should be extended to the whole year of 2009.

The import of Chinese shirts and women's clothing is still large, and the price of such textiles has dropped sharply.

In particular, the current European textile and garment industry is facing domestic demand stagnation, increased production costs and strong euro conditions.

Therefore, the Italian Industry Association called on the EU to take resolute measures and tighten supervision over Chinese textiles.
