Li Yizhong attached particular importance to the TD industry. He stressed that the Ministry of industry and information technology should focus on the "two key points" to fight the TD-SCDMA battle of the third generation mobile communication (3G) "China standard".

One is to do a good job in the construction of TD-SCDMA base stations in Beijing city to ensure the quality of TD-SCDMA voice, and the second is to ensure TD-SCDMA mobile TV's trial during the Olympic Games.

Li Yizhong suggested that the Ministry of industry and information technology will organize China Mobile and other units to solve the problems of network optimization, the provision of Olympic characteristics, interoperability between 2G and 3G in accordance with the requirements of the Olympic Games, so as to ensure that the first battle will win.
