Zhou Yangjie was born in Malaysia, a Chinese shoe maker. He made his first pair of shoes when he was 11 years old.

From the little shoemaker who learns to make shoes with his father to the famous designer of shoe design today, he has not gone smoothly.

However, in Zhou Yangjie's own words, even though he has achieved "fame and fortune" and "economic stability", he still has the mentality of learning to design shoes. "Design is actually a complex knowledge. It includes not only your skills, your creativity, but also some basic principles of doing things."

My parents told me that they are good at making shoes and doing anything well. They must be polite, be thankful, use their minds, speak less and do more things, start from basic things, step by step, and go down to earth to achieve their own goals.

In June 2003, Zhou Yangjie received the Queen's four class honours from the queen of England, in recognition of his contribution to making London a fashionable woman's shoes.

In 2004, Zhou Yangjie won the rank of governor {Dato '} in his hometown of Penang, praising him for breaking out in the international footwear industry and enhancing the popularity of Malaysia.


In addition to making shoes for timely design, in recent years, Zhou Yangjie has paid special attention to the education of design art.

For many years of the year, he will be invited to give lectures at various colleges, and to share with young people the real story and experience of designing shoes from a shoemaker family in Malaysia when they grow up to study and start business in the UK.

Zhou Yangjie, who has visited Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou many times, said she would go to China more frequently in the future, and there will be more Jimmy Choo brand stores in China in the near future.
